“Sustainable Development is the development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of the future generations in meeting their own needs” (Brundtland Report, 1987 – World Commission on Environment and Development).
And it is based on this definition that Lacerda Sistemas promotes its growth with decisions that integrate the environmental and social dimensions to its economic objectives, resulting in products and services in full compliance with the present and future socioenvironmental needs.
ENVIRONMENT
EccoPower Line
It is the result of researches that give privilege to respect to the environment.
Available in the market since June 2009, the No-Breaks of this line have or enable the following:
Low power consumption and consequent reduction of carbon emission.
The main focus of the EccoPower line is in the reduction of power consumption obtained with the use of state of the art IGBTs technologies in all equipments.
The triphasic equipments (SAI AF family of 10 to 800 kVA) are equally available in high frequency.
These innovations provide a reduction of up to 40% of the energy used, able to reach 50% with the ECO MODE option.
Electronic boards without the use of lead, according to the current WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) and Rohs (Restriction on the use of Hazardous Substances) guidelines since 2006 in Europe and in the United States of America.
The sustainability commitment of the EccoPower line also extends to the research of processes and materials that can cause the least possible impact on the environment, therefore, the reduced use of lead of electronic plates was prioritized in this research. Lead is a chemical element that does not degrade or transforms into another material, being extremely difficult to clean after its dispersion in the environment. Its major damages to health are the neuropsychological changes, which are usually irreversible.
Packaging
Use of pallets made from wood of certified origin.
Healthy Planet Program
Its culture includes “no waste” and the adequate treatment of solid wastes generated from manufacturing processes (metals, plastics, cardboard, wood and non-conformity components) and from natural non-organic waste (PET, paper, plastics in general) from human daily consumption and, in the conscious destination of lead-acid batteries after their useful life.
Battery Recycling - Lacerda Sistemas, through a management plan approved by IBAMA, promotes the adequate destination of lead-acid batteries used in No-Breaks or in external banks that are condemned by bad functioning or end of their useful life. There are several deposits spread through various regions in Brazil that are legally authorized and trained to receive and transport them to the recycling plant. As an incentive, Lacerda Sistemas gives customers that use this practice a document of proof of the adequate disposal in agreement with the current legislation and offers discounts in the purchase of spare batteries.
SOCIAL ACTION
Lacerda Collaborators
As an internal social policy, Lacerda Sistemas performs constant actions, generating direct benefits and the well being of its employee and families.
Community action
It is a Lacerda Sistema practice to work together with its collaborators in programs focused on the community, with actions that aid the youths in joining the labor market, give assistance to unprotected children and actions in the social contingencies that unpredictably destabilize the families.
Operation in public schools in partnership with NGOs specialized in juvenile social inclusion projects.
Collection of food and clothes
Collection and donation of toys and school materials
